Taylor Swift & Tom Hiddleston Reportedly Break Up

Taylor Swift & Tom Hiddleston Reportedly Break Up

"It was an amicable split".

Swift and Hiddleston reportedly had "a major argument" last month about their long distance relationship, resulting in the latter allegedly lying back to the United States for a two-day stay to smooth things over with the "Bad Blood" singer.

They met at the Met Gala in May, while Taylor was still dating Calvin Harris, and struck up a romance a few weeks later after she split from the 32-year-old DJ.

The next month, TMZ reported that Swift and Harris broke up because she secretly wrote the lyrics for his song "This Is What You Came For" and he gave her no credit. "It's not a publicity stunt".

"She was the one to put the brakes on the relationship", the source said.

Taylor Swift didn't like too much publicity.

Reports of trouble in Swift and Hiddleston's relationship began nearly immediately after their relationship became official, but the couple batted them down at every turn, usually by speaking with actions instead of words.

When tabloids insisted Swiddleston was over, Swift traveled to the United Kingdom to meet Hiddleston's mother.

Tom, 35, literally wore his heart on his sleeve in a 'I heart T.S.' shirt during her Fourth of July celebrations.

Despite their steadfast position of authenticity, Swift and Hiddleston's breakup did not seem unexpected to many on social media Tuesday.

Others suggested titles for a possible new album Swift could write about the "Avengers" actor - as the singer/song writer has been known to tap into her life experiences for lyrical inspiration.

We can just hear the lyrics now: "I tried to tell him, but he wouldn't liiiisten / Not everything that's gold will gliiiisten..."
