Steph Curry says he supports Colin Kaepernick’s National Anthem protest

It's been nearly two weeks since it became public that Kaepernick was sitting down during the national anthem. "I personally believe very strongly in that".

The 49ers play the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Sept. 12, but Kaepernick said he would had had no qualms kneeling during the national anthem had San Francisco been scheduled to play Sunday, the 15-year anniversary of 9/11.

CURRY: I love that. In a recent interview, Kaepernick clarified these rumors and said that the scrutiny he is experiencing from the public is related to society's Islamophobia. His jerseys are now sold-out across America because people are supporting him. "On the other hand, we believe very strongly in patriotism in the National Football League", he told The Associated Press.

He dispelled rumors that he had converted to Islam (though his girlfriend is Muslim and can not, according to Islamic law, marry him).

"I have to wait my time and work", he said. "But I have great respect for the religion. I don't think anybody should be prosecuted or judged based on what their beliefs are".

"I'm not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color", Kaepernick said after the game.

Warriors superstar Steph Curry has weighed in.

Kaepernick started his protest during the preseason, taking a knee during the national anthem as a protest of the treatment of people in the African-American community by law enforcement officers, NFL.com reported. "I wish people would be as outraged about the murders that are happening in the street as they are the protest".

KTVU also had the opportunity Wednesday night to hear from 49er Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.

Whether he believed that or not, I dont know, but I say that because if you want to get things done, you have to do it in a way where everyones at the table.”. "He didn't want that".

The NBA champion has chimed in on why he can not help but respect Colin's bold decision to promote police brutality awareness. But the resident, who asked that his name not be used because his employer prohibits him from talking to the news media, said the Kaepernicks are well-liked and no one holds them responsible for the quarterback's actions.

Hot 97 radio host Nessa Diab shared an Instagram post from her boyfriend, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, that thanked his supporters.

On top of donating $1 million in salary to organizations and communities to support his cause, Kaepernick announced Wednesday he will donate proceeds from his rising jersey sales as well. "And most people don't want to change". Even though the athlete has faced criticism during his protest of the national anthem, there are plenty of people who support his choice.

Kaepernick in late August defended his decision as a stand against racial injustice nationwide.

After team practice Wednesday, Kaepernick spoke at length about the controversy.
