Corey Feldman Drops American Flag to Floor While Performing on "Today"

Corey Feldman Drops American Flag to Floor While Performing on

HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Corey giving the Today show another shot?

Feldman traded in his black hoodie for gold and white to perform another song called "Take a Stand" (no relation to Stand by Me).

Before he started, he told the TV audience, "This song is for America!"

The gesture has generated angry responses on social media, according to the New York Daily News. "People were turning them off at the radio stations, people were walking off the dance floor at the clubs because it didn't make sense to them at that time".

"P!nk, Kesha, Miley Cyrus, Paris Jackson, they all reached out". He explains that "when KISS first started, when Eminem first started, when Nirvana got started they all got hate.because we're doing something new".

"Goonies" star Corey Feldman, pictured during his famous "Today" show performance September 16, 2016, vowed he has been sober for over 25 years.

Feldman, best known for his roles in "The Goonies", "Stand By Me", and "The Lost Boys", defended his sobriety to People, after critics of his original performance questioned whether he was back on drugs. "But they became awesome legends, so think of it that way'".

Feldman's beloved '80s classic, Stand by Me, celebrated its 30th anniversary in August.

"As an artist, I've been bullied, I've been picked on strictly because I spread a message of love".

Feldman also discussed his desire to take risks and the difficulties of doing everything right in his mind, but still reading "comments that would tear a hole through any commoners' hearts".

He added, "As an artist, I simply do all that I can to bring a bit of joy and entertainment for my fellow man". "No matter how mean and bad people can be, I can't let it affect me". And I'll tell you what, if I hadn't been through this one thousand times, I might've taken my life over it. As an artist, I bare my heart and soul for my love of creating art. I'm like, "Good job, everybody".
