More women accuse Donald Trump of unwanted sexual touching

The most senior of them, House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan, angered Trump when he announced this week he would no longer campaign for Trump or defend him but would focus on trying to preserve the Republican majorities in Congress in the election. These two are just part of what seems to be an ever growing list of people who have accused Trump of sexual harassment and sexual assault.

Mr Trump has again insisted all the allegations against him are fabricated.

Zervos claims Trump kissed her twice on the lips during a lunch meeting in his New York City office.

"They have no witnesses", Trump said. The Times said on Thursday it stood by its story and rejected charges the article was libelous after a lawyer for Trump threatened legal action and demanded a retraction.

Even before the mounting allegations, there is evidence Mr Trump's troubles are hurting the Republican Party's ability to raise money.

In a statement released after the press conference, Trump declared that the events Zervos detailed never happened.

He also asked his supporters to boycott People magazine after a reporter alleged Trump began kissing her without her consent in 2005 when the two were alone for an interview at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Trump then suggested meeting in Los Angeles to discuss employment opportunities, Zervos said. Then he leaned in to kiss her on the lips, which caught her off guard. He was on the left seat across from me and I made an attempt at conversation. He offered no evidence discrediting the reports except to ask why his accusers had waited years and then made their allegations less than a month before the election. Zervos claims he later kissed her "very aggressively and placed his hand on my breast".

"I walked away and I sat down in a chair". "I did not see him but he greeted me with "hello" in a sing-song voice", she said. He responded by thrusting his genitals at her.

John Barry, whom the Trump campaign identified as the first cousin of Summer Zervos, said in a statement that he was "shocked and bewildered" by the Friday press conference at which Zervos said Trump kissed her on the mouth, stripped naked and attempted to seduce her when she met with him for professional advice in 2007. Anderson said she shoved his hand away, and the incident lasted no more than 30 seconds.

Some never talk about it, fearing they won't be believed. He said he was allowed to have me work for him. The two had dinner in the hotel room, talked business, including how to let Zervos' home go into default, she said. "In fact, Ms. Zervos continued to contact me for help, emailing my office on April 14th of this year asking that I visit her restaurant in California", Trump said.

More news: United States import prices increase on gains in petroleum, capital goods costs

Mr Trump said of one woman: "She would not be my first choice, that I can tell you".

The Donald Trump campaign is fighting back against allegations that Trump has sexually mistreated women - dismissing accusations as "phony", attacking the news media that publishes them and providing a purported eyewitness to at least one alleged incident.

"I vaguely remember Ms. Zervos as one of the many contestants on "The Apprentice" over the years", he said.

At a Beverly Hills hotel, Trump's security guard led her to a bungalow where he was staying.

Trump also accused his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton of "character assassination", saying that it was the former State Department Secretary's "specialty".

Trump kicked off his campaign past year accusing Mexico of sending rapists and drug dealers to the United States, and promised to build a wall along the southern US border and said he would make Mexico pay for.

Trump asserts that the news media is soft-pedaling the WikiLeaks emails at his expense.

As experts point out - and as one woman accusing Trump of assault wrote in a first-person essay for People - victims of sexual assault often question whether they'll be believed if they come forward.

"It's coming in, frankly, probably in a matter of hours", Pence said Friday morning on NBC's "Today" show. "They threaten to blame the victim and punish the victim over and over again if they threaten to expose the behavior", Streyffeler said.
