Gas prices steady in Meadville

The price went down 2.1 cents per gallon in Vermont and ME, to $2.34 and $2.37 a gallon, respectively. Ohio's prices have decreased 9.1 cents per gallon in the past week.

In Georgia, the average of the two surveys Monday was $2.174, down 3.4 cents in a week and down 4.5 cents from last month. Neighboring Indiana offered slightly lower prices than S.C.by a few tenths of percentage point to claim the second-cheapest fuel in the nation.

The local price is seven cents below the national average.
