Fuel was leaking from the aircraft, and passengers deplaned on the runway and firetrucks hosed the plane down.

A plane was evacuated after hitting a deer at an America airport.

Authorities say an American Eagle flight struck a deer shortly after taking off from the Charlotte, North Carolina, global airport, forcing it to turn around and abort a flight to Gulfport, Mississippi. The flight was headed to Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport in Mississippi.
