Two-year-old boy killed during Facebook livestream video

Two people forced their way inside, and then shot through the door of a 19-year-old man's room before taking off, police said.

No one is in custody for the shooting, which occurred around 1:30 p.m. local time on the city's West Side, police said.

The child, believed to be between 2 and 3 years old, and one other person were killed in the shooting, police said.

Check back for more information. Lavontay White Jr. died a few hours later from his head injury. "I got a bullet in my stomach". A 2-year-old boy, Lavontay White, was shot in the head and he died at the hospital.

In the Facebook video, the man and woman can be seen singing along to music as they drove into an alley, and the child is seated in the back of the vehicle.

The woman survived a gunshot wound to her lower abdomen and her unborn baby was unharmed. An unidentified gunman exited another vehicle and fired into the auto, hitting Lavontay in the head, his 4-months pregnant aunt in the stomach and her boyfriend in the head.

Holmes was pronounced dead on Tuesday while Gentry-Bowers remains in a critical condition.

Police said the adult male victim was a known gang member.

"This has got to stop somewhere". But on the heels of a very violent year, which saw more gun violence and bloodshed than any year since the early 1990s, the video only captures a narrow view of the very precarious state of crime control in the city.

Johnson said that with "promising leads" and video evidence in the latest shooting, he had no doubt that those responsible would be caught.

"We have economic issues in this city that we have to address", he said.
