Logan: A movie with few superheroes?

Logan: A movie with few superheroes?

Early screenings of the Wolverine film did not feature a post-credits scene.

There are a few possibilities as to what this scene might entail. Or how about the new X-Men: Supernova film?

So while secretly adding new scenes isn't exactly a new practice, doing so for this particular film would be fascinating because of the way it ends.

Logan could end with something like that but it's impossible to guess what that scene would be. According to the critics, the movie is one of the best Marvel films ever. In fact, he's doubly right - not only would Wolverine (the movie version, certainly, but the same could argued for his comic book incarnation) seem utterly incongruous putting on a superhero costume as most people recognize them, but the classic Wolverine comic book costume is one that would just look utterly ridiculous on him, and nearly any other human being ever. The problem, of course, is how do you follow up such a flawless ending?

X-Men character Logan ("Wolverine" when in costume) is getting older. The ending of the actual movie already accomplishes that. While they could not confirm when during the credits the scene would take place, whether that is the middle of the credits or at the very end, they did say there was in fact an additional scene. Rumors flew at the end of previous year that Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool might appear in a cameo in the film, but both Mangold, Reynolds, and Jackman all denied that would happen. Yet it just may be the ethos of the Western that helps more fans appreciate a film like "Logan". So Deadpool would be, what, standing over Logan's grave and dropping one-liners?

Just consider: If Hugh Jackman's feral furry mutant did not originate from Marvel's X-Men universe, many filmgoers might not even view it as comic-book fare.

Without any confirmation of what awaits us, audiences will simply have to wait and see.

Directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Dafne Keene, Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, and Elizabeth Rodriguez, Logan will be released in cinemas on March 1, 2017 in the United Kingdom and March 3, 2017 in the US.
