Kim's death: Interpol issues 'red notice' for 4 N. Koreans

Kim's death: Interpol issues 'red notice' for 4 N. Koreans

Police have obtained an Interpol Red Notice for the arrest of four North Koreans believed to be involved in the killing of Kim Jong-nam.

He did not say when and where the DNA sample was taken.

He also gave assurances that the Malaysians in North Korea were all safe.

Malaysia has said it will deport 50 North Koreans who are in the country with expired visas.

It was astounding the USA government had provided over £1billion in aid to North Korea to no result, as Kim Jong-un continues to escalate the situation on the peninsula, Donald Trump's Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said.

The two countries have scrapped visa-free travel for each other's citizens.

According to police investigations, two Asian women - an Indonesian and a Vietnamese - put highly toxic, banned VX nerve agent on Kim's face and he died on the way to the hospital less than half an hour later. No family member has come forward to claim the body.

North Korea denies that the body is Kim Jong Nam's, but they have repeatedly demanded that Malaysian authorities hand it over. "If North Korea can not find a neutral venue, we will find one for them".

The North Korean leader said, "Only 30 days are left before the Day of the Sun", the KCNA reported, referring to the birthday of the late founder.

He had openly criticised his family's dynastic control of North Korea.

Pyongyang has repeatedly sought custody of the body, but Malaysia has so far refused to release it to anyone other than Jong-nam's family.

It's not clear how many North Koreans are in Malaysia, but police believe three people wanted for questioning in Kim's killing are holed up in the North Korean Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

"We have obtained the red notice for the four North Korean men who were at the airport during the incident".

The women told diplomats from their home countries that they thought they were participating in a prank for reality television. The Deputy Prime Minister also said the body of Kim Jong-nam had been embalmed to prevent it from decomposing. "And yes, the police will make a decision based on their request", he said.

Seoul's unification ministry earlier said North Korea's "show-off" project targets the privileged class in Pyongyang, not ordinary North Koreans.

It's not clear when the video was shot, but a South Korean National Intelligence Service spokesman verified the son's identity to CNN.
