Amazon Just Made Alexa Easier to Use

Amazon Just Made Alexa Easier to Use

To activate our flash briefing on your Echo product, go to the Amazon Alexa app on your smartphone (available for Android and iOS), and search for your preferred property by name, and click on "enable". It also has more stable, stronger 802.11ac Wi-Fi, the new Fire TV user interface and comes bundled with an Alexa Voice Remote.

Now all Fire TV Sticks will have the ability to use Alexa to find recommendations and ask questions, even if their device did not originally ship with a voice remote control.

Launched in the USA at the tail end of past year, the new version of the Stick has a quad-core processor, so is lightning quick in operation.

Amazon also announced on Thursday that Alexa will be rolling out to all Fire TV devices in the UK. Google last week brought its Google Home device to British homes, the first time its Amazon Echo rival had been made available outside of the US Microsoft's digital assistant Cortana is built into its Windows 10 operating system by default, as well as the Xbox One games console.

However Fire TV Stick and Fire TV customers will still be able to take advantage of a number of Alexa's capabilities.

Vice President of Amazon Devices International, Jorrit Van der Meulen said: "This is a big day for Fire TV customers".

The stick costs £40 and is available now.

Fire TV now features an overhauled Netflix-type user interface - called the Cinematic UI (pictured) - that is created to make finding movies and TV shows easier.

EVERYTHING SELLER Amazon has started selling something else in the United Kingdom: its first Fire TV Stick to bring Alexa onboard.

The digital assistant is always learning and developers are continually updating its software.

"Overall, it's been really cool, my family is all thoroughly entertained and we have an ongoing group chat about it", said Seary in an interview with NJ Advance Media, though in a subsequent interview with The Huffington Post, she says things sometimes get frustrating.
