Jared Kushner omits some foreign contacts on security form

The Wall Street Journal reported, "In West Wing shakeup, Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon could be reassigned - sources".

Citing administration officials who say that Trump is exhausted of the infighting among his staff, it is being reported that Trump is considering "reassigning" White House Senior Adviser Steve Bannon and White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus.

In January, Trump gave Bannon a full seat on the high-level national security body in a shake-up that removed the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the director of national intelligence from its "principals committee". And so is Bannon in some ways: It wasn't Kushner, remember, who gave that interview to the Hollywood Reporter in November hyperventilating about using a trillion dollars in infrastructure spending to create jobs and stimulate the economy.

Bloomberg first reported the news, which was part of a larger NSC shake-up revealed in a White House regulatory filing released Wednesday.

The Mr Trump White House has been a hotbed of palace intrigue since he took office.

And in fairness, the Trump and Kushner families both have long histories of donating to and endorsing Democrats (including Hillary Clinton). right up until Donald made a decision to run for president, as a Republican.

"Bannon still has vast interest in national security and he'll still offer advice", said Alex Ward, an analyst at the Atlantic Council think tank who closely watches Trump's foreign policy.

'This was an administrative error that came during a very pressed time, ' Gorelick said in a statement Friday. If headlines over the last few weeks are to be believed, the two are having trouble getting along these days, which isn't all that surprising for a number of reasons, including Bannon's alleged anti-Semitic leanings.

Bannon and Trump advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner have reportedly traded barbs over policy matters.

"If Bannon leaves the White House, Bekah's access and influence shrinks dramatically", a Republican operative told Politico. Bannon's signature nationalist views have at times clashed with the globalist inclinations of Kushner, who has also previously identified as a Democrat. Another example of a possible conflict of interest arose when ABC news reported that in February, 2017, a Chinese woman paid almost $16 million for an apartment in a Trump New York property.
