Latest rumored OnePlus 5 specs include 8GB of RAM

Latest rumored OnePlus 5 specs include 8GB of RAM

But the difference would be that unlike Samsung, the OnePlus will put the fingerprint sensor in a more central position of the phone. Keep in mind that OnePlus 3T featured a 3,400mAh battery and a Snapdragon 821 using the same body and dimensions as the OnePlus 3.

OnePlus 5 is the next biggest flagship Android set that is also going to compete against iPhone 8 apart from the aforementioned two giants. Well, here is a small highlight of this scenario. At the moment the handset is being referred to as the OnePlus 5 simply because in Chinese culture, the number 4 is usually seen as a bad sign due to it being pronounced similarly as "death". The display will have reduced bezels in line with most of 2017's high-end handsets, and OnePlus is expected to finally make the jump to a 1440 x 2560 resolution screen.

OnePlus 3T is arguably the best smartphone that money can buy on the planet right now. Users who love to take pictures will also love the 23MP dual lens rear camera with optical image stabilization and optical zoom.

It follows that there will be a new-gen Snapdragon 835 chip under the hood, backed up by a whopping 8GB of RAM.

Will the OnePlus 4 actually be called the OnePlus 5?

A previous rumour hinted the smartphone might have a 16 megapixel front camera, Type-C USB port and 256GB storage space. Reports also say that the phone has a dual camera. Latest rumor has it that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will have 8GB of RAM which is close to double the amount of RAM found in other flagship phones. OnePlus 5 is tipped to come with ceramic bodyshell made by the same firm which created the Xiaomi Mi Mix's ceramic exterior.

The Chinese company may choose to launch the new flagship in June or July to attract buyers who might otherwise purchase the more expensive Galaxy S8 or LG6.

The One Plus 5 is due to release in the second half of 2017 and is expected to cost around $500.
