Singer Justin Bieber cries during Manchester benefit performance

If the three-hour "One Love Manchester" concert demonstrated anything, it's how deeply the internet generation believes in the broadest concept of love.

Grande came back onstage to sing Fergie's verse on the Black Eyed Peas hit, "Where Is the Love?" along with the group.

Many in the crowd were in tears as Grande sang with a choir from Parrs Wood High School. Few fans went a bit far to congratulate the songstress, who is being hailed for her selfless act of raising money for the victims.

Grande thanked those in attendance.

She said: "I had the pleasure of meeting Olivia's mummy a few days ago and I started to cry and gave her a big hug and she said 'stop crying, because Olivia wouldn't have wanted you to cry". "And unified. I think the kind of love you're displaying is the kind of medicine the world needs now".

But it was 23-year-old Grande, the bravest of them all, who led teenagers and their parents in multigenerational stadium sing-alongs - including the former Nickelodeon star's own "One Last Time" (which hit #1 on the United Kingdom iTunes chart last week) and Harold Arlen's 1939 Wizard of Oz classic, "Over the Rainbow".

Another moment which caught the attention of everyone online was a policeman who could be seen in the crowd dancing with children and joining then hands in what seemed to be a playful moment of Ring a Ring o' Roses whilst Justin Bieber was performing on stage.

"What an incredible thing we're doing tonight, would you agree", Bieber said.

"(God) loves you and he's here for you.

The singer broke down several times during her performances but with the help and support of friends like Coldplay's Chris Martin, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and boyfriend Mac Miller, she pulled it off like a true superstar.

"Manchester, your bravery is our hope", Braun said. We had a different show planned and we had a rehearsal yesterday and we changed everything'.

"We will not quit or operate in fear".

The concert also will be broadcast on more than 130 iHeartRadio stations, and MTV will livestream the event on the website www.onelovemanchester.mtv.com.

Grande was overcome with emotion and had to pause during the song, which she dedicated to the people who died after a suicide bomber targeted her concert at the Manchester Arena on May 22.

Pharrell Williams praised the people of Manchester for their courage.

"I don't want to feel or hear or see any fear in this building", US singer Pharrell Williams told the crowd as he led them in a rendition of his hit single "Happy". "All we feel here tonight is love, resilience, positivity", Williams said.

The mother and stepfather of one of the young Manchester attack victims have laid flowers in memory of those killed in the London Bridge attack.

A sell-out crowd of 50,000, many of them clutching "For our angels" signs, fell silent for a minute before Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford opened the show.

Officials tightened security for Sunday's concert.
