Draymond Green phantom technical foul leads to Finals controversy

Draymond Green phantom technical foul leads to Finals controversy

Late in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, Draymond Green was given a technical foul for arguing with the referees.

"I thought they called it on Draymond". Then I thought the second one Draymond was going to get kicked out. Green, on the other hand, said he knew that he wasn't called for a technical, because a ref told him that he hadn't been called for one.

Officials John Goble and Mike Callahan explained that they weren't listening to the PA announcer well enough, but hopefully for National Basketball Association fans they'll have their ears open for Game 5 on Monday in Oakland. So when Green was T'd up "again" in the third quarter, the assumption was that he was ejected. See below. The second technical foul would have led to Green's ejection from the game.

Goble said he thought he had verbalized to the table that the initial technical was on Kerr, but said after watching the video that he should have done a better job with that.

Draymond Green was asked Thursday about the Cavs fans who were caught on camera harassing his mother after Golden State's Game 3 win in Cleveland.

So even though Friday was a bad night for the Warriors, at least they head home with good news.
