Aston Villa struggled during their last outing losing 2-0 to Blackburn and will want to bounce back when they face an Arsenal team that also dropped points last week. Gerard Houllier has lost of experience playing against Arsene Wenger and will look to motivate his club and achieve the win.

With Aston Villa down in 13th place they need to string a few good performances together if they wish to qualify for the Europa League.

Arsene Wenger’s side failed to win last weekend throwing away a 2-0 lead against Tottenham and then were also defeated 2-0 by Braga in the Champions League. With the top of the table so close this season Wenger will have to inspire his team to the win if he wishes to challenge for the title this season.

Arsenal appear favourites for the win however with captain Cesc Fabregas out injured Aston Villa may be able to earn a draw from this game.
