Indian Army, Air Force Hold Exercises to Fine Tune Cold Start Doctrine

The Indian Army and Indian Air Force have begun six-day long joint military exercises in the western Thar desert region along the Pakistani border. The purpose of the exercise — christened Vajaye Bhava — is to fine tune the Cold Start doctrine put in place after various cross-border terror attacks by Pakistani agencies including the ISI which is part of the Pakistani Army.

According to the Army, it has conducted 10 major exercise near the Pakistan border in the past six years and this exercise will boost synergy between the Indian defence forces.
