The odd rituals of the UDFA (undrafted free agents) are a tradition among the Seahawks, not to be questioned.
The NFL this week fined 49ers outside linebacker Eli Harold for a horse-collar tackle he made Sunday against Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.
Wilson will undoubtedly be somewhat limited.
Wilson suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee in Week 3, but he was not on Friday's injury report. Opponents have definitely noticed that Wilson isn't the same threat to run. He hasn't done much on the ground either, with 33 yards on 10 carries, which makes sense considering his injuries early in the season. While the passing offense is trending in the right direction, the running game is still hurting. Last weekend was the first game in which Wilson missed a snap due to injury. Seattle did that last week by adding some wrinkles to its running game - notably, using tight ends as fullbacks - and likely will try to throw in more wrinkles this week. If you look at the way that he runs the ball, the way that he catches, he gets credit because he is a complete back. What has he done particularly well?
"There's a risk to play the game of football every game, every play", Wilson said. It's not always fun but I'm enjoying this growth, this process and this learning that's going on. So in that regard, what he is doing now is, in part, just an extension of what he did at the end of last season.

And I see no way Carroll walks away from that and turns over a potential title to someone else to win. Wilson, similar to Tyrod Taylor, does an incredible job of extending plays with his legs and beating the defense for huge gains.
"I wanted to say this: When we make these decisions with our players and how we support the information, how we support the process of the comeback and all that, it's really clear".
