A Saudi delegation has arrived in Dhaka to discuss the recruitment process of Bangladeshi workers.
“It’s more of an ice-breaking session and we pursue them to recruit more from Bangladesh,” said director of Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) Selim Reza on Sunday.
He said it was a delegation from Sonarcom, the recruiting association of Saudi Arabia.
“They’re here to know more about our recruitment process and we discussed that,” he said.
Two million Bangladeshis workers are currently there in Saudi Arabia, the largest manpower export destination of Bangladesh.
The delegation will hold meetings with BAIRA on Monday and with expatriate minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain on Tuesday, Reza said.
