As reported earlier, Pakistani cricket team captain Shahid Afridi had criticized his country men of fostering hate against India and had asked them to refrain. However the Karachi resident soon felt the pressure of his comments and had to reverse them. He now has told a T.V. station that Indians are not as large hearted as Muslims and Pakistanis.

This is not surprising in the country like Pakistan where going against the opinion of the hardliners has resulted in killings of top cabinet ministers. Afridi lives in Karachi which has seen a series of ethnic killings between Pashtuns and Mohajirs. Shahid Afridi is a Pashtun living in Karachi.
