Roger Federer’s second round match against a man who he has never beaten — Gilles Simon — lived up to its billing. It took Roger Federer five sets to win 6-2, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, 6-3. Roger Federer toyed with the Frenchman in the first two sets winning them comfortably. But then late in second set onwards, Roger had a customary concentration lapse raking up constant unforced errors and lost the next two sets, only to win in the fifth.

On his fifth match point, it took Roger a ace to seal the win.
