Apple’s iPad Revolutionizes Singapore Classrooms!
If Oprah can do it, so can schools in Singapore. Four schools in the wealthy city-state have begun handing out Apple iPads to students, relieving them of the need to carry satchels full of bulging text books and notes. Nanyang Girls High School has spent S$135,000 (about $100,000) to buy 150 iPads for 140 students and 10 teachers in a pilot project. Users connect to the Internet using the tablet, and download books and course material.

Verizon iPhone’s to be Launched Tuesday
Verizon Wireless, the top U.S. mobile provider, plans on Tuesday to unveil a version of the Apple Inc iPhone for its service and will kick off sales of the device a few weeks later, a source told Reuters. Verizon Wireless will offer the iPhone to its customers under its existing wireless service price plans, said the source, who asked not to be named as the plan has not yet been announced.

Hackers have attacked North Korea’s official Youtube and Twitter accounts, posting a cartoon showing Kim Jong-il’s heir apparent driving a sports car into a crowd of starving countrymen. The cyber attack on Saturday, believed to be leader-in-waiting Kim Jong-un’s birthday, also called for an uprising against the communist nation’s ruling dynasty.
