If India is serious about cleaning the rut in the IPL, PCB and Pakustani cricketers mustn’t be allowed. The PCB’s defense of its cheats has been a disgrace to cricket. The whole thing is a sham and post-Lalit Modi, India should keep such a cricketing culture away from our youngsters and reject this pressure tactic.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has pressed its counterpart in India to clear the way for Pakistani players to participate in the lucrative Indian Premier League next year. Pakistanis have not participated in the last two seasons of the Indian league because of political tensions between the countries.

In the league’s first season, in 2008, more than a dozen Pakistanis played for different franchises. “We want Pakistani participation in the I.P.L., that is our official stand,” Subhan Ahmed, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s chief operating officer, said.
